Principal attorney Eric Menhart has trial and appellate experience. Attorney Menhart has appeared in Maryland and District of Columbia state courts, as well as in federal courts such as the United States District Courts for the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Massachusetts. Menhart also practices before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in trademark matters. Menhart has also published academic articles on such issues as privacy protection and Internet tax issues that appear in publications owned by major publishers such as Thomson West and CCH.

 

Relevant Experience

 

Eric Menhart brings a variety of private and public sector experience as an attorney and prior to being licensed to practice law. Menhart previously held positions with the United States Department of Justice's Antitrust Division as a litigation paralegal and the Federal Trade Commission's International Division of Consumer Protection as a legal intern. Menhart has also worked as a legal intern in the U.S. Department of Commerce's National Telecommunications and Information Administration, concentrating on radio spectrum issues.

 

Menhart previously founded two successful private business ventures and practiced law as an attorney at a boutique law firm concentrating in electronic torts.
